Rev'd Terry Clark - Rector of Deane

Rev'd Canon Dr Terry Clark - Rector of Deane and Vicar of Lostock

Terry grew up in the West Midlands but married a Boltonian! He has worked in the retail trade, has been a research biologist at Oxford University and was for five years a secondary school teacher in Leeds. In addition to being Rector of Deane and Vicar of Lostock, he is involved in clergy appointments nationally and in mentoring clergy.

Andre Adefope

Rev'd André Adefope - Curate

André was born in London and lived there until he moved up to Oldham 10 years ago, and has lived in different parts of Greater Manchester ever since. He has worked for a few Christian charities in various roles in the past, and enjoys spending time with people, discussing theology and playing sport.

Nigel Newton

Nigel Newton - Youth and Community Worker (part time)

Nigel is originally from Manchester and has many years experience in pastoral, community and youth and children's work.  He attends Lostock Church  with his family, where he is Churchwarden.  He is also a part time photographer.

Heath Taylor - Churchwarden

Heath has been one of our Churchwarden since 2019.  With a background in building management he takes the lead on work related to our buildings.  He also co-leads one of our midweek home groups.

Paula Small - Churchwarden and Safeguarding Officer

Paula has been a member of the Church family at Deane since 1990, and a Churchwarden since April 2021.  She is passionate about helping children and young people get to know God and grow in their faith.  She co-leads one of our home groups and is currently undertaking training with Biblical Counselling UK.

Margaret Rutter

Margaret Rutter - Prayer Ministry Team Leader

Margaret has been worshipping at Deane Church for nearly 40 years and believes that God wants us to pray  and that our prayers make a difference. She is thankful to be part of a loving and caring church family and enjoys the varied opportunities this gives her such as working as a volunteer in our charity shop and co- leading a midweek home group.

Jane Hampson

Jane Hampson - CAP Lifeskills Manager

Deane Church is a partner with the national charity Christians Against Poverty. Jane runs Lifeskills Courses and supports individuals who are facing the challenges of life with a focus on budgeting and debt management. She is linked in with other CAP services in Bolton. janehampson@caplifeskills.org

Sheri-lee Taylor - Lostock Church and Church Centre Administrator

Sheri is the administrator for Lostock Church, but she and her family worship at Deane.  Sheri co-leads one of our midweek home groups.

Beccy Clark - Administrator

Beccy has been our administrator since January 2011.  She is based in our Church Office. She has also undertaken training through Biblical Counselling UK, and enjoys meeting with women one-to-one to explore how life and Scripture meet.
