Rev'd Canon Dr Terry Clark - Rector of Deane and Vicar of Lostock
Terry grew up in the West Midlands but married a Boltonian! He has worked in the retail trade, has been a research biologist at Oxford University and was for five years a secondary school teacher in Leeds. In addition to being Rector of Deane and Vicar of Lostock, he is also involved in the CPAS Arrow Leadership Programme.
Beccy Clark - Assistant Curate (SSM)
Beccy has been our assistant curate (SSM) since June 2025. She was previously our church administrator. She has also undertaken training through Biblical Counselling UK, and enjoys meeting with women one-to-one to explore how life and Scripture meet.
Rev'd Canon Paul Hardingham - Retired Clergy
Paul has been attending Deane Church with his wife Kathryn since the beginning of 2022, after retiring as Vicar of St Peter’s Halliwell in Bolton after 17 years. Paul is originally from London, but has been involved in ministry all over the country. He and Kathryn have 3 children and 5 grandchildren spread across London, Leeds and Bolton. He is involved on Sundays at Deane and Lostock and really enjoys leading services and preaching. He has also been involved in leading Alpha in the parish and Kathryn helps lead the group for young people on a Sunday morning.
Simon Davies - Churchwarden
Simon has been coming to Deane church since 2023 after engaging with one of our Alpha courses. He is actively involved with our youth and men's ministry and is passionate about growing in his own faith alongside the church family.
Paula Small - Churchwarden and Safeguarding Officer
Paula has been a member of the Church family at Deane since 1990, and a Churchwarden since April 2021. She is passionate about helping children and young people get to know God and grow in their faith. She has undertaken training with Biblical Counselling UK.
Margaret Rutter - Prayer Ministry Team Leader
Margaret has been been worshipping at Deane church for over 40 years and believes that God wants us to pray and that our prayers make a difference. She is thankful to be part of a loving and caring church family and enjoys the varied opportunities this gives her such as leading our monthly lunch team and co- leading a midweek home group.
Jane Hampson - CAP Lifeskills Manager
Deane Church is a partner with the national charity Christians Against Poverty. Jane runs Lifeskills Courses and supports individuals who are facing the challenges of life with a focus on budgeting and debt management. She is linked in with other CAP services in Bolton. janehampson@caplifeskills.org
Jo Newton - Deane Church Administrator
Jo is the part-time administrator for Deane Church, although she and her family worship at Lostock Church.
She is passionate about prayer for the churches and Bible teaching, and helps to run one of the Growth Groups with her husband, Nigel. She also works part-time in gardening.
