Rev'd Terry Clark

Rector of Deane and Vicar of Lostock 

Terry grew up in the West Midlands but married a Boltonian! He has worked in the retail trade, has been a research biologist at Oxford University and was for five years a secondary school teacher in Leeds.

In addition to being Rector of Deane and Vicar of Lostock, he is involved in clergy appointments nationally and in mentoring clergy.

Rev'd Elizabeth Plant

Assistant Minister

Elizabeth has lived in the parish of Deane for over 50 years. She was ordained in 2008. Before that she was a Classics teacher and Headmistress.  Now retired, she leads the fortnightly 9am communion services and keeps in pastoral contact with that congregation and other older members of the church family. Elizabeth  also takes funerals of those she has known well.

Daniel Booth

Youth Pastor

Daniel was appointed as our part time Youth Pastor in January 2019, a role which became full time in February 2020.

Daniel is passionate about helping young people to become disciples of Jesus, discovering their gifts and their calling, and equipping them to serve.He has recently completed the two year ministry training course with North West Gospel Partnership.

Beccy Clark

Administrator

Beccy has been our administrator since January 2011.  She is based in our Church Office.  She has also undertaken training through Biblical Counselling UK, and enjoys meeting with women one-to-one, to explore how life and Scripture meet.

Prayer Ministry Team leader

I have been worshipping at Deane Church for nearly 40 years and believe that God wants us to pray and that our prayers make a difference. I am thankful to be part of a loving and caring church family and enjoy the varied opportunities this gives me such as working as a volunteer in our charity shop and co- leading a midweek Bible Study group.

Jane Hampson

CAP LifeSkills Manager

Deane Church is a partner with the national charity Christians Against Poverty. Jane runs Lifeskills Courses and supports individuals who are facing the challenges of life with a focus on budgeting and debt management.  She is linked in with other CAP services in Bolton. janehampson@caplifeskills.org
