The speaker is Reverend Gordon Craig. Gordon is the current Chaplain to the UK Oil and Gas Industry and was appointed in Aug 2012.
He was ordained as a Church of Scotland Minister in 1988 and began a 24yr career as a RAF Chaplain in April of that year. As a RAF Chaplain he served far and wide on both front line and training establishments. His first posting was to RAF Marham in Norfolk, home of two Tornado squadrons and a Victor air to air refuelling squadron. His last tour was Principal of the Armed Forces Chaplaincy Centre, Amport House, which trains chaplains from all three Services and ‘soft skills’ to military personnel.
In between these tours Gordon served the length and breadth of the UK as well as Germany, the Falklands, Italy, the Middle East and Afghanistan. Gordon will be speaking about his work as a chaplain both in oil and gas and his time in the RAF.
