Every Church of England Church across the country keeps an ‘Electoral Roll’. Officially it is the register of its voting members – those qualified to attend and to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting.
However the Electoral Roll is much more than that!
Being on the Electoral Roll is a way of saying...’I belong’. It is an act of commitment to Deane Parish Church. A way of saying that you see yourself as a member.
You can apply to be on the Electoral Roll if:
- You are baptised, and
- You are over the age of 16; and
- You live within Deane Parish or you have worshipped regularly at Deane Parish Church for at least six months.
Every six years we make a completely new roll, so everybody has to re-apply. We last did that in 2013, and so we are doing it again this year. Even if you are currently on the electoral roll you need to complete a new application form.
You can apply to be on the Electoral Roll by completing the form below, or by picking up a printed copy of the form from Church or the Church Office.
Every adult has to complete an individual form. You cannot complete one per couple or family.
You can must complete this form no later than Friday 5th April 2019.
If you have any questions then please contact Nola Kilsby, our Electoral Roll Officer, via the Church Office.
