There is a great place to get a brew, something sweet and to meet up with others…but you may not know about it! Come and try out the Olive Branch Cafe, every Wednesday 10:30am-12noon. It’s in our Church Centre, which is just behind Deane Clinic, on Horsfield Street.
“A great place to meet friends, new and old!”
Little Lambs baby and toddler group provides a warm welcome for those with pre-school aged children. Meeting on term-time Tuesday mornings (9:30am – 11:30am) in Deane Church Centre, the babies and children have a vast variety of toys to play with and there is a craft session every week. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and toast are available. The session finishes with a sing song with musical instruments.
Social events for parents/carers are also organized at various times through the year.
There’s no need to let us know, just come along!
9:00am – Holy Communion *(Usually on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month)
Our most traditional service. There is no singing and we share communion together. The service lasts about an hour.
Our 10:15am services are a mixture of all-age services, and services aimed more at adults, with groups for our children and young people. Normally during a month we have two of each type of service.
We begin our time together with breakfast from 10:15am. From 10:45am we have a time of praise and prayer followed by Bible teaching at 11am. Once a month we share communion together.
When it is a service aimed more at adults we have creche for those aged up to 3/4 in the creche room at the back of church, Junior Church for ages 3/4 to 10 and a Pathfinder group for ages 10-14 in the Church Centre.
Services normally last between an hour and 75 minutes.
9:45am Holy Communion *(On the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, following a Sunday without a 9am service)
We have an 9:45am Holy Communion service in the Church Centre, followed by our cafe.
